As users of MyGate, we have observed the app pivoting to a master app format over the past few months. Apart from using the app as a traditional apartment/community management solution, users have the ability to explore multiple features like Society Marketplace (with the latest addition of Homes), My Payments, and Community.

Engagement frameworks for MyGate:

  1. Frequency of engagement: How many times does a user perform a key action within the app
    1. No of times users accept/decline a visitor
    2. No of times users access the Notice boards

Channels of communication to improve frequency of engagment - App Push Notifications, Emails

2. Breadth of engagement: How many features does a user adopt to within the app

MyGate users have traditionally seen the app as a community management solution and hence getting them to adopt to new features will be a challenge.

Why? Because we humans are resistant to change, which can be an obstacle when introducing new product features within a product. Momentum behavior occurs when people fail to choose an optimal path within a product because they’ve decided to stick with the path that they’re familiar with.

Most often, we, as users are prey to Momentum Behaviour. Momentum behavior occurs when users fail to choose an optimal path within a product because they’ve decided to stick with the path that they’re familiar with. Same holds true for navigation within apps. Nudges can be a great way to get your users to start utilizing new and existing features within the app.

Here is how Contextual Nudges can hel

3. Depth of Engagement: How deep is the intent with which a MyGate user is engaged with the app

This may be a key important metric of engagement that we want to focus on. Increasing depth of engagement in MyGate users so that they start deriving value out of the core proposition being offered by the new features.

As MyGate introduces/promotes its newer features, Contextual Nudging (the right users at the right time) can play a key role in guidng users to become more invested with the MyGate app
